O. Wilde: The Picture of Dorian Gray (Paperback, 2020, Editorial Vicens Vives) 4 stars

The Picture of Dorian Gray is a philosophical novel by Irish writer Oscar Wilde. A …

It's a classic and it shows. I really enjoyed the critical parts. There are some very, very boring parts, tho. Maybe I didn't enjoy those as English isn't my first language, but I just had to do it for Oscar Wilde.

It was definitely great to read "the origin story" of a character I've mainly known from League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie.

Ray Bradbury: Fahrenheit 451 (Hardcover, 2012, Turtleback Books) 3 stars

Aldous Huxley: Brave New World (Paperback, 1956, Modern Library) 4 stars

Originally published in 1932, this outstanding work of literature is more crucial and relevant today …

A bit too "on-the-nose"

I guess it might be the point of the book, but I couldn't feel that any character was real, everything felt stereotypical; while at the same time that "prediction" of the future does not seem plausible to me.

And I repeat, it might be the point of the book, so, if that is the case, then great job. I just did not enjoy it or gained any interesting insight.
