Hacía tiempo que no disfrutaba tanto con una lectura. Icaza retrata aquí fina y eficazmente el ambiente del Ecuador de principios de siglo, en el agro y en la capital. El lenguaje, las relaciones de jerarquía, las mentalidades... Recomiendo esta lectura, en particular si te interesa Ecuador. Eso sí, tiene algo de léxico muy castizo ecuatoriano (quichuismos y jerga en general) que puede despistar a quien no esté familiarizade. Me dan ganas de leer más cosas de Icaza.
