Desafío de lectura 2015: Un libro prohibido.

Novela infantil de ciencia ficción blanda/fantasía de 1963, escuchada en audiolibro en inglés narrado por la autora, Madeleine L'Engle. Al principio me costó un poco acostumbrarme a su narración casi monocorde: he estado escuchando varios libros magníficamente narrados por profesionales en el asunto. Pero una vez que uno se sumerge en el libro, eso deja de importar.
La mezcla de ciencia ficción con la perspectiva cristiana (episcopal) de la autora es interesante. Los valores cristianos (familia, fe, obediencia, sacrificio) se hacen notar. Personalmente, suelen generarme algo de rechazo los libros infantiles religiosos: aquellos con los que me he encontrado generalmente rozaban el adoctrinamiento (o se zambullían en él). Pero este no está tan mal en ese sentido.
Lamentablemente, la consistencia de la trama y el desarrollo de personajes no son de lo mejor. La idea del enfrentamiento entre el bien y el mal …

Lamentablemente, la consistencia de la trama y el desarrollo de personajes no son de lo mejor. La idea del enfrentamiento entre el bien y el mal tampoco me llama mucho la atención a estas alturas. Seguramente lo hubiera disfrutado mucho más durante mi niñez (en cierto modo me recuerda a Ami, el niño de las estrellas, el cual amé en su momento). Pero ahora mismo este libro no es para mí.
De todos modos, me pareció un exponente bastante interesante de la novela de ciencia ficción infantil (puntos extra por tener una protagonista femenina).
