¿Qué puede llevar a una niña de bien, de una familia trabajadora, con un padre exitoso, una mamá hermosa, a convertirse en terrorista?

Roth hace un estudio de personaje de cada uno: Swede, Merry, Dawn. Esto es, para mi, lo que hace valioso el libro. Las descripciones de las discusiones familiares y entre los amigos seguramente son las que llegaran a la película, que no podrá capturar los personajes.

Por otra parte, es un libro lento. Las primeras 100 páginas, la descripción de la reunión, la descripción del escritor, para mi son otra novela, una que no me interesó mucho.
