Breve reseña de un clásico que necesita algo de contexto para disfrutarlo más.

Rick Deckard es una más de los habitantes de una tierra destrozada por "La Guerra", donde aquellos con posesiones han emigrado a Marte o a otras colonias del universo.

La tierra es la vieja metrópolis y las colonias son el nuevo dorado ¿Quién será esta vez protagonista del nuevo comercio triangular? Los "Andys": cuerpos orgánicos de simulada apariencia humana, pero fabricados por la poderosa Fundación Rosen; mejorados para los trabajos duros; desposeídos de la más importante característica humana: la empatía. Mientras el polvo radiactivo lo devora todo en la Tierra, Isidore, clasificado por las leyes eugenésicas como "Cabeza Hueca" (y por tanto, impedido de emigración y reproducción) conocerá a unos Andys especiales, nuevos... demasiado humanos. Estos Andys, como los de generaciones anteriores, serán perseguidos por los departamentos de policía mundiales. Los Andys solo pueden desempeñar la función a la cual están autorizados: no pueden salir de allá donde están... pero …

¿Tener consciencia de uno mismo es ser humano?, ¿Realmente la empatía es un rasgo únicamente humano?. En esta sociedad, donde prácticamente toda la flora y la fauna se ha extinguido, la posesión de todo tipo de animales es símbolo de escala social. ¿Sueñan los Androides con un mejor futuro para ellos?, ¿Sueñan con ovejas mecánicas, como la posesión más valiosa de Rick?

Das Buch handelt vom Kopfgeldjäger/Blade Runner Rick Deckard der zusammen mit seiner Frau Iren in einer Post-Apokalyptischen Welt lebt. Es gab einen im Buch ungeklärten Krieg mit Atomwaffen der die Menschheit fast vernichtet hätte. Es fällt überall radioaktiver Fallout nieder. Der nukleare Staub ist nahezu tödlich. Um dem zu entkommen hat sich die Menschheit zum Mars aufgemacht. Natürlich darf nicht jeder zum Mars, denn die Menschheit ist wie immer eingeteilt in bestimmte Gruppen. Einmal in die Menschen, die sich noch nicht aufgemacht haben und in die sogenannten "Spezialen". Dabei handelt es sich um weniger intelligente Menschen die Gesellschaftlich ausgegrenzt und mies behandelt werden. Auf dem Mars werden Androiden eingesetzt, um den Menschen das Leben zu erleichtern. Einige der Androiden setzen sich auf die Erde ab. Blade Runner wie Rick Deckard jagen diese Androiden deren neueste Generation sich kaum von Menschen unterscheiden lassen.

Sehr spannendes Buch, tolles Setting und fesselnde, mitreißende …

Sehr spannendes Buch, tolles Setting und fesselnde, mitreißende Beschreibungen der Charaktere. Leider ein etwas schwaches Ende.

Finished the book two days ago. Some things kept me thinking:
-Kipple: JR Isidore is described as not a smart man, but he understands that concept of entropy. He fights with it. He deals with it as he can. In the book you can see how everyone on earth has to live in the remains of the war, but is this man who tries to understand kipple, and is the one person who doesn't complain, but tries to explain it. Human nature, in the least intelligent being in the novel. Represented by this concept, and the thing with the spider.

-Animals(empathy): how sad it could be when you need to have a device to tune your feelings. To share feelings with other people.

This novel made me sad. Not because the story. The situations. The need for artificial things in order to feel. To find an excuse to keep doing …

This novel made me sad. Not because the story. The situations. The need for artificial things in order to feel. To find an excuse to keep doing what you have to do. "You will be required to do wrong no matter where you go. It is the basic condition of life, to be required to violate your own identity. "

Maybe it is because I feel in the same way. The need to find an excuse to keep doing the chores I have to do. To seek in things, in presents, in turning money (and looking for profitable tasks in order to have money to) into things that could soothe our minds, because there is a great great pressure in ourselves not as people but as tools who need to do certain tasks because it is what others expect from us.

What an empty life. What a great book.
