The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of twelve short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, first published on 14 October 1892. It contains the earliest short stories featuring the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, which had been published in twelve monthly issues of The Strand Magazine from July 1891 to June 1892. The stories are collected in the same sequence, which is not supported by any fictional chronology. The only characters common to all twelve are Holmes and Dr. Watson and all are related in first-person narrative from Watson's point of view.

Esta edición es una forma estupenda para adentrarse en las aventuras del icónico detective londinense. Leerlas directamente del inglés, en versión original, puede ser complicado por la riqueza y abundancia del léxico en las descripciones, de modo que tener paralelamente el texto traducido permite dar fluidez a la lectura con menos interrupciones.
Cada aventura es breve, de unas 40-50 páginas, por lo que es ideal para ir leyéndolo cuando se tiene huecos libres, poco a poco. Sin embargo, la lógica de Holmes es tan fascinante que nada más acabar de leer una de sus aventuras el lector se queda con ganas de conocer la siguiente. Muy recomendado.
