David Foster Wallace: Pórtatil (2016, Random House, Literatura Random House) 5 stars

Review of 'Pórtatil' on 'Goodreads'

5 stars

As all of Foster Wallace's books, this thing is dense. Not talking about the size of the book, but the content. You have to dig deep with a dictionary in your hand, but the result is overwhelming.
Reading this book you get a glimpse of the way DFW transited the world, looking at things below the surface. The essays and articles are just too much to one to behold, but they are insightful. And the short stories suffer from a long format where repetition kinda bores you but makes the characters' sanity more real.

I should know.

This is not a book for a marathon. Read it as you can.
