great book, but as a vegan and with a renewed running interest, I'm perhaps biased

2013 (1st read): 3 stars.
2025 (2nd read): 5 stars. No idea why I didn't enjoy this book as much a decade ago, but I love it now. Love the recipes and his story itself is weaved as a fun ride. Particularly appreciate his sprinkled advice on running. It happens my two reads of the book correspond with the two times in my life I've really gotten into running, so maybe it's that I'm enjoying running more now that makes me enjoy the book more?
