Not something for everyone, but at least a nice approach to maths (calculus, statistics, and so on) from day to day examples. And, yes, I found it a little dense at some parts, glancing through, only to finish it. That being said, it is shown why maths are around, even if it doesn't appears with numbers.

I'll leave here the closing statement, that encapsulates the whole thing: "without writing down an equation or drawing a graph, you are doing mathematics, the extension of common sense by other means. When are you going to use it? You've been using mathematics since you were born, and you'll probably never stop."
