I've never been interested in horror as a cinematic genre, so I thought I wouldn't like literary horror either. As I've been exploring it this year, I've found that not to be the case. I ended up enjoying Dracula quite a bit, although for a 21st century reader, some aspects feel dated, especially regarding attitudes about gender.
