The Name of the Wind, also called The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One, is a heroic fantasy novel written by American author Patrick Rothfuss. It is the first book in the ongoing fantasy trilogy The Kingkiller Chronicle, followed by The Wise Man's Fear. It was published on March 27, 2007, by DAW Books.
Tämä olikin vetävämpi lukea kuin osasin odottaa. Toisaalta en myöskään osannut odottaa sitä, ettei tämä ollut missään suhteessa itsenäinen, kokonaisen tarinankaaren sisältävä kirja. Jopa trilogian avausosaksi tarina jäi häiritsevän kesken.
I don't usually read much fantasy, but I enjoyed this. The analog to Harry Potter comes from the first book focusing on the main character studies in magic.
Es un libro lento y pesado. Me costó unos cuantos episodios interesarme por la historia, pero luego me enganchó.
Por suerte era consciente de que se trataba del principio de una saga, porque no termina. Me he quedado un poco planchado al ver que, después de tantas páginas y tantos días leyendo las aventuras del protagonista, termina con un “Continuará.” En mi opinión, aunque se trate de una saga, cada libro debería cerrar al menos una parte importante de la trama.
Con todo, tengo ganas de seguir leyendo la Crónica del Asesino de Reyes para descubrir todos los entresijos.
